Who are we?

We are a community group with charitable status. We run family, school and community events locally and also regionally with partner groups.

Our commitment is to local heritage including architecture, archaeology, culture, natural history & arts. More....

The Thorney Society runs the Thorney Heritage Museum showing a collection bringing the area’s history alive from ancient to modern times.

This richly illustrated book is being produced jointly by Peterborough Civic Society and Peterborough Photographic Society. It does include some Thorney details, but those who have lived around the area for many years are sure to find it fascinating in general.
