Who are we?

We are a community group with charitable status. We run family, school and community events locally and also regionally with partner groups.

Our commitment is to local heritage including architecture, archaeology, culture, natural history & arts. More....

The Thorney Society runs the Thorney Heritage Museum showing a collection bringing the area’s history alive from ancient to modern times.

I'm taking over the Museum Steward Rota duty for this year so if you are interested in being a steward on any Sunday afternoon this summer please get in touch. The times are 2pm - 5pm and two people have to be on duty, one of whom should be a society member. Training can be provided. Telephone me on 270605. Many thanks.

The culmination of the Visual Awareness Project. We hope that those involved in the project, stewards and visually impaired people will be able to celebrate with a glass of champagne.
